MOBILITY PROGRAM

Our Graduate School G.E.N.E. funds conferences according to this categories :

• Conferences outside Europe : up to €1,500
• Conferences in Europe (outside France) : up to €1,000
• Conferences in France : up to €500

Eligibility Criteria:

You must meet ALL of the following:

• Enrolled in the European Master’s Degree in Genetics or a PhD in the Doctoral Schools HOB or BioSPC
• Affiliated with a Université Paris Cité laboratory
• To work on a subject linked to our Graduate School G.E.N.E. (genetics or epigenetics).
• You submitted an abstract which has been ACCEPTED for presentation (oral or poster) at the conference
• The conference will take place at least 2 months after you have submitted your application for this program (NOT before)

Priority will be given to applicants who have not already benefited from this funding

Required Documents for Approval:

• Master or PhD enrollment Certificate (image)
• Official acceptance letter (oral/poster)
• Abstract
• Estimated budget breakdown
• Completed and signed Mobility Conferences Form 
• One-page motivation letter from student (did you do the Magistère (MEG)?, why attend, expected benefit, link with our Graduate School G.E.N.E. mission)
• Support letter from PhD supervisor (include lab affiliation)

All the above should be fused into a single PDF file entitled: YOURNAME_ConfApplication_YEAR

Important: Incomplete applications will not be processed. Ensure all required documents are present in the final file before submission.

Application Timeline:

• Apply only after you have received official conference acceptance (do not apply before).
• Your application will be evaluated by the G.E.N.E. governance committee within approximately two weeks of submission.
• Upon funding approval, we will cover registration fees, flights, accommodation, and other expenses up to the maximum allowance for each category. Any remaining costs must be covered by the applicant’s laboratory.

By accepting this mobility funding, you commit to:

• Include our G.E.N.E. logo, clearly visible, in your presentation (oral or poster).
• Secure a photo of yourself next to our logo during your presentation. As part of our funding agreement, you agree to provide this photo to us and grant permission for it to be shared on our G.E.N.E. website and G.EN.E. social media channels.
• Present your conference research at a G.E.N.E. event
