Our Graduate School G.E.N.E. is delighted to announce that Michel Peroche, a second-year student in the Magistère Européen de Génétique, is the first Master’s student to receive our Mobility Scholarship. This program provides financial support to Master’s and PhD students who wish to present their work at conferences, in France or abroad, and makes them ambassadors of the G.E.N.E. Graduate School at national and international congresses.
Michel Peroche, presenting his work at the World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics in Glasgow.
Michel completed a 5-month internship at the Neurodevelopmental Research Group of the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom). The results he obtained earned him the opportunity to present a poster at the World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics in Glasgow (Scotland), entitled “Polygenic Architecture of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Traits in Adults and Links to Clinical Diagnoses.”
Thanks to the Mobility Scholarship, Michel was able to share his results with the international scientific community. Proud of his work, he came back with new contacts and found the laboratory that will host him for his M2 internship, and possibly for his PhD. This is a fine illustration of what mobility makes possible: beyond representing our Graduate School, it fosters scientific encounters and future collaborations. Very enthusiastic, Michel thanks G.E.N.E. for this support.
Congratulations to Michel, our new ambassador, on this great achievement!
