Courses Modules

The proposed training modules provide students with advanced competencies at the interface of biology, data science, and innovation. By integrating active learning, interdisciplinary exploration, and exposure to emerging technologies and entrepreneurial practices, they support the development of versatile scientific profiles capable of addressing complex research questions and contributing to societal and industrial challenges.

The M1 PLASMA Module

The aim of this module is to enable students to master digital data management and its evolving impact on genetics and epigenetics. To achieve this, we developed the PLASMA platform (Plateforme d’e-Learning pour l’Analyse des données Scientifiques Massives) which uses an active learning approach based on Jupyter notebooks.

The M2 Start-Up Module

This module aims to provide the fundamentals of business creation and to encourage students to turn entrepreneurial opportunities they may encounter during their studies and careers into concrete projects. During 2 weeks, students receive classes about investors and fundraising, ideation process, business model and strategy, intellectual property, finances and budget, etc.

The M2 International Workshop in Paris

Each year a relevant topic is tough during 1 week in Paris. Our most recent topic was “Cycling to divide : Across Scales, Species and Evolution” The objective of this workshop was to highlight the diversity of multidisciplinary approaches and study models for understanding the regulation of these mechanisms. This interdisciplinary topic illustrates the convergence between experimental and computational sciences.

The M2 Artificial Intelligence in advancing Biology and Genetics Module

The aim of this module is to understand the basic principles of AI, explore the contribution of AI tools in fundamental research in biology, genetics and genomics and examine the applications of AI in industry and clinical settings.
