Professional Afterwork by the G.E.N.E. Mentors
The professional afterworks give the opportunity to young researchers (but not only !) to discover the career of former PhD students who decided to work outside the academic research field. The invited speakers present their backgrounds and their current occupation, in a friendly format that allows you to ask all the questions you want and discuss career options.
The third Afterwork of 2021 will take place on
March 15th, at 5:00 PM
we are glad to welcome Catherine Potenski, a former PhD student from the microbiology program at the New York University School of Medicine. She experienced both academic and non academic career : she did 5 years as post-doctoral fellow in the Hannah Klein’s lab working on DNA damage in yeast before joining the world of edition as executive editor at BMC-series for 2 years. She then joined the Nature Genetics team in 2015 and she is now the chief editor at Nature Genetics.
